Celebrating National Children's Day, IIKSG Holds a "Goes To School" Event at a Public School in Rembang: From Distributing School Equipment to Organizing Inspiration Classes
Rembang, July 29, 2022 – Ikatan Istri Karyawan Semen Gresik or IKSG (Association of Wives of PT Semen Gresik Employees) held a Goes to School event at the Pasucen Public Primary School, Gunem Subdistrict, Rembang District, to celebrate the 2022 National Children's Day. IIKSG distributed hundreds of school equipment and organized Inspiration Classes for 5th and 6th graders. The distributed equipment included stationery bundles and school bags.
The head of IIKSG, Titis Soni Heri, explained that this event was held to share happiness and inspiration with the students of Pasucen Public Primary School. In addition to distributing school equipment, the agenda included Inspiration Classes by Ibu Yeni Indah Lestari as an inspirational figure and PTSG's Public & Institutional Relations.
"From the Inspiration Classes, the students are expected to learn from Ibu Lestari so they can be successful and helpful to others and keep on learning enthusiastically to achieve their goals," explained Heri.
PTSG's Senior Manager of Communication and CSR Unit, Dharma Sunyata, explained that IIKSG's Goes to School event, apart from introducing PTSG's profile, also aimed to support and improve the quality of education in schools by distributing school equipment.
"Through the Tanggung Jawab Sosial Lingkungan (Environmental and Social Responsibility) program under the Pilar SG Cerdas program, we show our commitment to participate in improving the quality of education," Sunyata said in a press release on Friday (7/29).
According to him, the presented materials included the Company's profile and its green industry concept. Those materials were presented in a fun and interactive way, making them understandable for primary school students.
"We express our gratitude to IIKSG and PT Semen Gresik for holding this event. This event started with the Ponorogo's reog dance performance by Sanggar Singo Wahyu Wibowo from Pasucen village, a village under the assistance of PT Semen Gresik, and our students were so happy and excited during the event," explained Bambang Iswanto, the Principal of Pasucen public primary school.
"In welcoming the 2022 National Children's Day," Iswanto continued, "this Goes to School event is a positive and beneficial activity for children as the valuable assets for the country's future."
